About Angela Fontaine

I am a long-time social justice advocate and mother of a kindergartener at Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts.

After graduating college with a degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University, I began working with organizations that focused their programming on the most vulnerable members of our community, including those with significant barriers to employment and education. Now, the founder of a coaching and consulting firm, I help individuals and mission-focused organizations reach goals and navigate change and transition. I have over ten years of experience in various sectors, including private, government, and nonprofit. I hold certifications in transition and leadership coaching and have extensive experience in working with individuals from a multitude of backgrounds and cultures, skill sets, and abilities.

I have worked on many community-centered projects, including leading a team in designing a body of police transparency and accountability (Civilian Review Board) and I supported the creation of RVA Green 2050.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time at the river or supporting our local music and art scene.

I look forward to serving the 4th!
